WEBThe posology of Ferinject follows a stepwise approach: [1] determination of the individual iron need, [2] calculation and administration of the iron dose(s), and [3] post-iron repletion assessments.
WEBFor all patients, Ferinject® doses should be prescribed on a high risk infusion chart. Ferinject® should be given in 100ml of sodium chloride 0.9% when administered as an IV infusion. Only sodium chloride 0.9% should be used for flushing. No additional therapeutic agents should be added to the bag.
