Are there any plans to refurbish the auditorium? The theatre is looking very shabby and dated. The seats are close together and very uncomfortable. The auditorium does not match the lobby which is very pleasant

Belgrade’s 2020 Redevelopment Project – which will ensure the Theatre is a sparkling cultural gem for 2021 and beyond. The project, to be completed by September 2020, has three main outcomes, to: -refresh our 1958 Main Stage Auditoriumand foyers, so our audiences and visitors have a more enjoyable experience; -secure our longer term financial sustainability, by redeveloping the café and first floor Burbidge Room – to create a joined up, flexible, space; -develop an exciting multi-functional creative talent hub, in the vacant Jaguar Pub at the back of the Theatre, as part of our commitment to community, education and talent development activities.

The ground stalls as near to the front as you can and end of the row preferably the inside aisle at least then they can see down the middle if someone is in front of them -depending on what's on they let children dance in the aisle much more difficult if you have to keep asking people to move so you can get in and out Don't worry if you can't get near the floor slopes which helps seeing over the person in front Have a great time
