Michigan State football responded in the second quarter to regain the lead thanks to a pair of nice plays by quarterback Aidan Chiles. Chiles scored a one-yard touchdown run on a quarterback sneak with 8:10 left in the second quarter.

Chiles struggled in his first career start while being picked off twice without throwing a touchdown pass in a 16-10 win against Florida Atlantic in the opener. He didn’t attempt to mask his frustration and take two was a mixture of his high-level talent and inexperienced mistakes that made for an erratic but entertaining outing.
