Latin music spans subgenres and cultures across the world, riding the global success of such artists as Bad Bunny, Rosalía, Karol G, Peso Pluma and Edgar Barrera. The most recent iterations of the Latin Grammys were among the first to put these superstars in front of a mainstream TV audience.

While Latin music looks ahead, its biggest awards show, broadcast live from Miami on Thursday night, looked back.

On Thursday, Miami hosted the Latin Grammy Awards. Artist Juan Luis Guerra and his band 4.40, who won for record of the year and album of the year, plus producer Edgar Barrera gathered the most awards of the night.
