A broad area of low pressure in the Caribbean could form by early next week. Gradual development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form as the system moves slowly to the north or northwest and into the southern Gulf of Mexico through the middle part of next week.

The NBC2 First Alert Hurricane Tracking team is monitoring the western Caribbean Sea for the possibility of some tropical development within the next ten days.
