Columbia University activists are planning a protest of Veterans Day — which organizers want to “reclaim” from the “Israel-US war machine” in the name of Palestinians killed in Gaza. The unsanctioned student group Columbia University Apartheid Divest is circulating flyers for the event — set for Monday on the Ivy League school’s main Morningside Heights campus.

A retired army Major, John Spencer, who, after serving in the military for over 25 years, is now a leading scholar on urban warfare, lambastes the student-led anti-Veterans day protest at Columbia University, calling it “disgusting.”
