Apple's most expensive wireless headphones — the AirPods Max — are getting up there in age, which has us wondering what the second-gen cans will offer.

The AirPods Max may be nearly four years old, but they’re still a great pair of noise-canceling headphones if you’re deep in Apple’s ecosystem and appreciate some exceptional (although, heavy) build quality.

Apple’s AirPods Max received a minimal refresh after four years, with the main update being the switch to a USB-C charging port.
