UCF's Exolith lab is home to the world's largest simulated lunar surface with its regolith bin. The state-of-the-art research and testing facility that allows space companies, scientists, faculty and students to test how moon dust interacts with hardware that powers space missions.

Each year, the University of Central Florida hosts a “Space Game.” And today, the uniforms for that game have been revealed (see picture). The Uniforms Honoring the 8th year of this tradition, this year’s theme is “Mission VIII: Powering Humankind’s Return to the Moon.

UCF's Space Game is set for Nov. 2 — its first head-to-head meeting with Arizona, which officially joined the Big 12 from the Pac-12 in August. It is the Knights ' sixth of seven home games this season, followed only by a Black Friday contest against preseason conference favorite Utah.

UCF has revealed the uniforms for the 2024 edition of the famous space game. Fans look forward to the space-themed uniforms every year, and this year should be no different as the team recently announced “Mission VIII – Powering Humankind’s Return to the Moon.”

UCF's latest version of its space-themed uniforms will honor NASA's plan to return to the moon. Entitled "Mission VIII," the new uniforms — to be worn against Arizona on Nov. 2 — will have a definitive lunar feel and lean heavily on the Artemis program, which plans to return to the moon for scientific research. For the eighth time since 2017, UCF has released their SpaceU themed uniforms that they will use for one game and one game only this season. Each uniform has been different and only worn once during the season.
